This is reallllly close to a RAW unedited image — added grain, adjusted contrast and color temp. I spent more time removing the stitches from his right hand than anything else– I wanted to show how badass Alexandre Marx Carneiro is without having to rely on photoshop. The water on his abs was probably from Jiana Davis … drool.

We had a blast this year for Cinco De Mayo. I teamed up with my man Don Hales for a water filled day. I shot sand while he shot Cars, both involved a ton of artificial rain which turns out is a bit harder than we had anticipated but we figured it out ok. No excuses

Yesterday I had the privilege of working with someone that epitomizes the word “DRIVE”. Whenever I think of the words to use as excuses for why I don’t work out/eat healthy/exercise… I look at Dewey and feel a wave of stupidity/shame come across me. 53 years old, with a long list of obstacles that he’s overcome– ya, excuses don’t seem very legit on my end any more.

Great job D- your prep for Nationals is insane! Big thanks to Dylan Armbrust of Armbrust Pro Gym for letting us use your space.

I had the privilege of working with an amazing competitor, IFBB Pro Lindsey Morrison. She had an interesting story. She won her pro card her first year, only to have a horrendous followup season the next. She contacted me to do a photo shoot and a video to document her “return”. We started with the photo shoot. Here are a few shots taken:

My goal this year is to become THE premiere Denver Fitness Photographer. A new item introduced to help achieve this goal was video. With some experience with wedding videos in the past, I’ve always enjoyed telling a story– I apply the same ideas with my images as well. Below is the video we shot of Lindsey’s story.
